We are seeking a diligent and meticulous Finance Manager who will oversee our typical financial operations, from creating invoices and making payments, to preparing comprehensive reports and advising leadership on profitability strategies. As a consultative operator, you'll collaborate with teams across the company, offering guidance and support on financial processes and requirements.

We are looking for someone who is composed, results focused and hands on, with a proven track record of creating, implementing and managing financial processes and best practices across the Company. Your keen eye for detail will ensure the quality control of our financial operations, guaranteeing accuracy and efficiency at every turn. Comprehensive financial and strategic experience is vital to be able to quickly identify, understand and leverage commercial opportunities and solutions that transform our business and P&L.

This is a part-time role with a contract of 20 hours per week.

Minimum Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in a company finance-management capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics or a similar field
  • Highly experienced using Xero
  • Comfortable working in multiple currencies and with international payments inc. ACH and SWIFT
  • Highly numerate and skilled with spreadsheets and financial formulas/modelling
  • Natural ability to understand, interpret and use complex and varied sources of data and statistics
  • Natural ability to analyse commercial consequences of financial trends/decisions
  • Highly knowledgeable of the typical agency business model; services, products, COS, Op Ex, industry/market dynamics
  • Able to conduct extensive data analysis and are proficient with forecasting models
  • Able to analyse financial data/trends and advise on how to increase business profitability
  • Adept in lateral, analytical and strategic thinking, able to apply logical/practical thinking
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Financial Duties

  • Day-to-day financial management for the Company
  • Ensure Company financial accounts are impeccably managed and maintained
  • Bookkeeping and journal postings
  • Bank reconciliations including multiple company cards/accounts
  • Prepare and present a range of financial and business activity reports and forecasts including P&L, cashflow, and balance sheet; monthly, quarterly, annual, foL, YTD and ad hoc
  • Work with and advise the leadership team on strategies to remain profitable and enhance profitability
  • Creating quotes, insertion orders, purchase orders, invoices, and credit notes as required
  • Internal management of payroll; processing, payments, expenses, pensions, personnel updates
  • VAT/Corporation Tax/R&D submissions and payment
  • Responsible for Accounts payable and Accounts receivable including all talent/freelancer/supplier payments
  • Company expenses and receipt management (via Dext)
  • Financial compliance; management of our financial records, including tax compliance and adherence to government standards
  • Audit and track client account time vs billed time and advise teams on P&L
  • Support systems and processes for the business to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Identify patterns in Company revenue/outgoings, and propose solutions to address problems/opportunities
  • Provide financial data for new business pitches and client meetings
  • Provide financial support on account/project budgeting/spending and P&L
  • Conduct and cooperate with internal and external financial audits
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and procurement processes
  • Communicate with external financial entities on behalf of the Company
  • Employee onboarding and offboarding financial duties
  • Consultative on all aspects of financial processes, standards, and expectations when collaborating with individuals across the Company; offering advice, insight, and education on the required/best approach(es)
  • Quality control of our financial processes across the Company; challenge inaccuracies and poor representation; intervening to ensure top-notch process delivery is maintained
  • All and any other duties in respect of Company accounts, banking, HMRC, Gov compliance, etc.

Employment Package
