Why we helped Ridley Scott scare the living daylights out of the most fearless team in the Premier League to launch Alien Covenant.

Two-time BAFTA winner, filmmaker Ridley Scott produced one of 2017’s most frightening pictures, Alien: Covenant. We were tasked with targeting a male audience with viral content that kickstarted a conversation on social about the scariest film of the year.

How do you make a video about a Ridley Scott production that’s more attention-grabbing than the film’s trailer?

Going viral by giving sports players nightmares.

Old Trafford became The Theatre of Screams. We hosted a special screening of the movie that had Jesse Lingard, Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe, Luke Shaw and Sergio Romero attempting to maintain their game faces whilst watching the film’s most shocking scenes. Poor Luke Shaw hasn’t looked this terrified since his last visit to José Mourinho’s office!

Our production was as engaging as the film was frightening, leading to a reach of 85M and extensive organic online coverage, including UNILAD.
